Valéria, Dôle AOC Valais

La Dôle Valéria, AOC Valais, is a supple and fruity red wine. On the nose, we can smell red plum, blackberry, a little smoke and a hint of licorice.

On the palate, it's velvety, with melted but present tannins. The structure is solid, the aromas linger for a long time. Perfect with Valais dried meat, a grilled steak, or a cheese platter.

Ideal for a tasting with friends or a no-fuss meal!

La Dôle Valéria is a red wine produced in the heart of Valais by Maison Varone Vins. This Valais wine blends two classic grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Gamay. This duo produces a supple, fruity, easy-drinking wine with character.

On the nose, it's immediately very expressive. We smell ripe red plum, fresh blackberry, with a hint of smoke. There's also a subtle, but definitely present, note of licorice. It's a nose that makes you want to taste it.

On the palate, the attack is soft. It's velvety, supple, and very pleasant. The tannins are there, but they're melted. Not aggressive. They provide structure without weighing it down. It's a wine that lingers on the palate, with a lovely aromatic persistence. We find red fruits, a bit of undergrowth, and that little smoky touch that returns.

La Dôle Valéria is a wine that can be opened without a special occasion. It is perfect as an aperitif, with a platter of dried meat from Valais. It also pairs very well with hard cheeses, such as a mature Gruyère or an Etivaz. For hot dishes, it pairs well with grilled red meat, roast beef, or even duck breast.

It's a wine that's not too heavy, not too light, just right. La Dôle Valéria can please everyone, even those who don't drink red wine often. This Valais wine is best served slightly chilled, around 14 to 16 degrees. This helps retain the freshness of the fruit while still enjoying the structure. It doesn't need much time in the cellar. It can be drunk young, within two or three years. But it can also be kept a little longer if you like more evolved aromas.

In short, Dôle Valéria is an easygoing red wine. Fruity, supple, with a beautiful structure. It smells of plum, blackberry, and a touch of licorice. It pairs well with cheeses, red meats, and Valais cured meats. A Valais wine to discover, share, and savor.
